All  cryptocurrency ATMs in the UK are operating illegally and must be shut down, the Financial Conduct Authority has announced. Services in the UK are licensed to operate a cryptocurrency ATM. The FCA said all of those machines must be closed or they will take action. 

There are 81 crypto ATMs operational in the UK, according to Coin ATM Radar's CryptoATM directory. The FCA said, "We regularly warn consumers that crypto assets are unregulated and high-risk, which means  people will most likely have no protection if something goes wrong.
